Owly

Owly predates the company name. It arrived in 2008 when Hootsuite was still called BrightKit, and the name Hootsuite was built from the owl rather than the other way round. In 2014 the company flattened it into a black and white silhouette to look serious for enterprise buyers, then reversed the whole decision in 2022 with a rebrand that gave the owl a surname, pronouns and the job title Chief Connections Officer.
