Sammy

Sammy is DigitalOcean's shark: a smiling blue predator repurposed as the friendliest face in cloud infrastructure. The company's whole pitch was making servers approachable to individual developers, and Sammy is that pitch as a character, the least threatening possible reading of a shark. The community drew him surfing, coding, and floating among the droplets, and DigitalOcean embraced the fan art as part of the brand.
