Ferris

Ferris is the orange crab who serves as the unofficial mascot of the Rust programming language. Rust programmers call themselves Rustaceans, so the crab was inevitable; designer Karen Rustad Tölva gave the community its now canonical version, flat and round and slightly anxious looking. No foundation ever declared Ferris official, and it did not matter. The crab is on every slide deck, every sticker table, and every plush pile at every systems programming conference on Earth.
